Connections &are necessary for TV and recorder to receive TV signal. Unlike conventional VCR machine, the recorder will not output its "own" signal via the aerial cable. So, it's normal that you cannot view the recorder signal from any of the separate TV channels.

1.Connect the player's down mix audio left (L) and right (R) output to the TV's audio left and right inputs.

Connect either one of the player's video output ( Video, S-Video or component) to the TV's corresponding video input. If the TV set is equipped with component video input, connecting this signal will provide the best picture quality.

2.If the TV has VGA input, connect the VGA port of the recorder to that of TV, VIDEO signal output from progressive RGB signal.

If the TV has more than one video inputs, you may choose either one to connect. Make sure you

have properly connected the video and audio ports, and switch the TV channel to the same input (e.g. AV1, AV2, .. etc.)

3.HDMI jack contains not only digital video signal, but also digital audio signal.
