KARAOKE RECORDING FROM A CD+G (COMPACT DISC + GRAPHICS) DISC
You can record a cassette from a CD+G disc. CD+G discs combine the recorded music with an additional video track that displays the song lyrics on this monitor screen or an external television screen (if connected). As the song plays, the words to be sung are highlighted on this TV screen.

Rotate the Function switch to the CDG position. Insert a CD+G disc.
Rotate the AUTO VOCAL control as desired (see AUTO VOCAL Control section below). Insert the microphone into the appropriate jack.
Press the Play/Pause ( | ) |
button to start CD+G playback. |

If using a CD+G disc, the image and lyrics will appear on the monitor screen.

Insert a blank cassette tape. When ready to record, press the
RECORD ( ) button; the PLAY
( ) button will automatically depress.

Adjust the MIC VOLUME control(s) as desired. Increasing this control will increase the volume of the microphone(s).

Adjust the ECHO control to add an echo effect to your voice. The ECHO control is variable so add as much or as little reverb as desired. Sing or talk into the microphone(s) and you will record and hear both the CD+G and the microphone(s).
NOTE: The Program and Repeat features on a CD+G CD operate the same as with a standard CD.
AUTO VOCAL CONTROL:
Rotate the AUTO VOCAL control clockwise to suppress the vocal tracks on the CD being played when singing into the microphone(s). Rotate the AUTO VOCAL control counterclockwise to have the vocal tracks on the CD play at normal volume.
