On-screen display, which the 598 can superimpose on the video image to give information about the disc.

PCM

Pulse Code Modulation, the method used to encode music digitally, as used on audios CDs.

Source

An input to the system, such as CD or TV. The Meridian 500 and 800 Series provide 12 named sources, corresponding to the names of the 12 source keys on the MSR.

Type

A standard configuration of the DVD/CD player. Selecting a Type resets any configuration changes.
