(Closed Captioned)

The STB contains a built-in decoder that is capable of providing a visual display of the audio portion, The program viewed must provide Closed Captioning (CC) for the television to display it. CC is displayed in the form of text across the screen (white or colored letters on black background). It allows the viewer to read the dialogue of a television program or other information.

£3 In SET UP Menu, selectCC (ClosedCaption) MODE

£3 Press the • arrow to select _ MODE

£3 Press the arrow, then the • or • arrow to select NONE, CC1, CC2, CC3, CC4, Tt, "1"2,

T3 or T4.

CAPTION NONE - Use when Closed Caption is not desired.

CAPTION CC1 - For video related information that can be displayed (up to 4 lines of script on the screen, where ft does not obstruct relevant parts of the picture). Script can be in any language.

CAPTION CC2 - Another mode used for video related information. CAPTION CC3 and CC4 - Other modes used for video related information.

TEXT T1 - Blanks out a large portion of the picture on the television screen, and displays program guide or any other information currently being transmitted.

TEXT T2, T3 & T4 - Other Modes that display information and blank out a large portion of the picture on the television screen.

£3 Press ACTION once, then the 4 arrow to return to Roller Guide.

SET UP

Notes: To properly display Closed Caption, in some cases, the aspect ratio should be changed from Zoom to Full

Do not set Close Caption on STB and TV at the same time. This will prevent captioning from superimposing.
