The buttons described for “Using the microphone” are mainly for the main unit unless indicated otherwise.

Enjoying the microphone mixing

You can enjoy microphone mixing from various music sources (cassette, disc, radio or other equipment connected to this unit).

Firstly, lower the volume with [- MIC VOL+], then

 

connect the microphone(s) to the microphone

 

jack(s).

 

Every time you press the button:

 

MIC 1 MIC 2 MIC 3 MIC 4

 

Use a dynamic microphone.

 

Plug type : Ø6.3 mm monaural

Start playing the music source.

Adjust the volume with [- VOLUME+] and

 

[- MIC VOL+] and sing along.

Note:

If a strange noise (howling) is emitted during use, move the microphone away from the speakers, or turn down the microphone volume.

When you are not using the microphone, disconnect it from the microphone jack, and turn down the microphone volume level to “MIC 1”.

Sound adjustments can be made using microphone mixing but recording will not be affected.

 

 

To record your voice

Press [OPEN, ] for DECK 2 and insert the

 

 

cassette to be recorded.

 

 

Ensure that there is no tape in DECK 1.

Lower the volume with [- MIC VOL+] then

 

 

connect the microphone(s) to the microphone

 

 

jack(s).

Press [ , RECORD] to start recording.

Speak through the microphone and adjust the

 

 

volume with [- VOLUME+] and [- MIC VOL+].

Adjusting the echo effect

Lower the volume with [- MIC VOL+] then

 

connect the microphone(s) to the microphone

 

jack(s).

Press and hold [–ECHO].

 

Current setting appears on the display.

While the current setting is displayed

 

Press and hold [–ECHO] to change the setting.

 

Every time you press and hold the button:

 

ECHO 1 ECHO 2 ECHO 3 ECHO 4

 

ECHO OFF (off)

LANG - 4

LANG - 5

 

 

 

Record microphone mixing

 

 

 

1

 

Press [OPEN, ] for DECK 2 and insert the

 

 

cassette to be recorded.

 

 

Insert with the side to be recorded facing towards

 

 

you and the exposed tape facing down.

Lower the volume with [- MIC VOL+], then

 

 

connect the microphone(s) to the microphone

 

 

jack(s).

Select the music source:

 

 

When singing along with discs

 

 

Insert the desired disc ( page 10).

 

 

When singing along with cassette

 

 

Insert the desired cassette into DECK 1

 

(

page 22).

 

 

This is applicable only during stop mode.

 

 

When singing along with radio

 

 

Select your desired station ( page 22).

 

 

When singing along from the other equipment

 

 

Connect and prepare the other equipment

 

(

page 27).

Press [ , RECORD] and start microphone mixing.

 

 

 

 

Note:

The effect increases with the level.

The setting will change only if you press and hold [–ECHO] right after the current setting is displayed.
