Using sound effects

You may experience a reduction in sound quality when these sound fi eld systems are used with some sources. If this occurs, turn the sound fi eld system off.

Using the Advanced Surround

–ECHO

Enjoy a surround-like effect which broadens when playing discs with surround effects. Sound seems to come from speakers on either side of you.

Every time you press [SOUND] on the remote control:

EQ-OFF HALL LIVE DISCO

Every time you press [SOUND EQ] on the main unit:

HEAVY CLEAR SOFT DISCO

EQ-OFF HALL LIVE

HEAVY

: Adds punch to rock.

CLEAR

: Clarifi es higher sounds.

SOFT

: For background music.

DISCO

: Reverberates sound to make you feel

 

like you are in a disco.

LIVE

: Makes vocals more alive.

HALL

: Expands sound to make you feel like you

 

are in a hall.

EQ-OFF

: Canceled (no effect is added)

MANUAL EQ: ( see right).

To check the current setting

Press [SOUND] (main unit: [SOUND EQ]).

The changes you make are stored and automatically recalled the next time you select “MANUAL EQ”.

S.SOUND EQ Using the Super Sound Equalizer

Turning on the super sound equalizer gives you a more

 

powerful sound.

 

The “S.SOUND EQ” indicator lights up.

To cancel

Press [S.SOUND EQ] (main unit: [SUPER SOUND EQ]) to turn off the indicator.
