Recording

One-Touch Recording (OTR)

You can start recording quickly and set a duration.

During recording, press [¥REC/OTR] on the unit repeatedly.

Select the desired recording duration.

Each time you press the button, the indication on the unit’s display changes as follows:

Counter display (normal recording mode)>OFF 30 (min.)> OFF 60 (min.)>OFF 90 (min.)>OFF 120 (min.)>

OFF 180 (min.)>OFF 240 (min.)>Current time (normal recording mode)

TAPE REFRESH

You can delete all contents in a cassette (the picture, sound and Jet Navigator data).

ªFor recording while “JET NAVIGATOR” is set to “ON” Be sure to set “JET NAVIGATOR” to “ON” (OPTION l 22).

ªFor recording while “JET NAVIGATOR” is set to “OFF” or recordings on another VHS

Be sure to set “JET NAVIGATOR” to “OFF” (OPTION l 22).

The unit will automatically switch off when OTR is completed.

REC/OTR STOP

¬To stop OTR at any time Press [STOP] or [Í/I] (ÍVHS).

Notes:

The OTR function works during normal recording only.

When the tape reaches its end during OTR, the unit will turn itself off.

Recording from an External Source

You can record from other video sources (VHS, camera, etc.).

Connect the other equipment to this unit as shown. If audio output on the other equipment is monaural, use a stereo-monaural conversion cable (not supplied).

Insert a recorded cassette tape with an intact erasure prevention

tab.

[1]Insert a cassette that you want to delete the cassette’s contents and press

[MENU].

[2]Press [34] to select the “TAPE REFRESH”, and

press [ENTER].

[3]Press [ENTER] for 2 seconds or more to start the tape refresh

function.

The tape refresh function starts.

The tape is rewound to the beginning, and it is fast- forwarded while erasing the tape.

When the tape reaches the end, this unit automatically rewinds it to the beginning.
