Before enjoying DVD/Video CD/CD

The On-Screen menu language of your player has been factory preset to English.

You can change the menu language to French or Spanish. Refer to “Selecting On-Screen Display menu language” on page 52.

In the explanations given below it is assumed that English has been selected as the menu language.

To play

1 Press POWER to switch on the power. (See page 34, 35.)

2 Insert DVD to play.

 

NO DISC

3 Place the disc in the disc slot with the label side to be played facing frontwards. (If the disc has a label)

Hold the disc without touching either of its surfaces, position it with the label side to be played facing frontwards, align it with the guides, and

place it in position.

DVD READING

When you insert a DVD or CD, loading will be carried out automatically and reading of the track of DVD or CD will begin.

4 Press PLAY to display the following:

When a menu screen appears on the TV.

In the case of many movie DVDs, an interactive DVD, or a Video CD with playback control, a title screen appears on the TV. Perform step 5 to start play.

5 Press SELECT ( , , , ) button to select the title and press ENTER.
