Connecting external ­ data media

Before connecting the data medium, switch the television to standby using »8«. Connect the ­device and then switch the television on again.

Before removing the external data medium, the television set must be switched to standby, so that no data loss occurs.

Notes:

7The »USB1« socket of the television set

supplies­ a maximum power of 500 mA in accordance with USB specifications. Exter- nal hard disks which require more power may therefore only be connected to the »USB2 (HDD)« of the television set.

7If you use a network cable for external hard disks which are connected to the »USB2 (HDD)« socket on the television, this net- work cable must also be disconnected from the power supply when the television is switched off.

7External data media may not be disconnect- ed from the television set while files on the data medium are being accessed.

7A bi-directional data transfer as defined for ITE (Information Technology Equipment)

devices­ in EN 55022/EN 55024 is not possible.

7USB transfer is not in itself an operating mode. It is only an additional function.
