REMOTE CONTROL BUTTONS AND FUNCTIONS

14:9 ZOOM:

This mode zooms up the Wide Picture (14:9 Aspect Ratio) to the upper and lower limits of the screen.

16:9 ZOOM:

This mode zooms up the Wide Picture (16:9 Aspect Ratio) to the full screen.

16:9 ZOOM SUBTITLE:

This mode zooms up the Wide Picture (16:9 Aspect Ratio) with subtitles to the full screen.

FULL:

This mode uniformly stretches the left and right sides of a nor- mal picture (4:3 aspect ratio) to fill the wide TV screen.

Note:

Use for pictures with a 16:9 aspect ratio that have been squeezed into a normal picture (4:3 aspect ratio), you can restore their original dimensions.

1Press the ￿ button to display the ZOOM menu.

2Press the ￿ buttons to choose a ZOOM mode. Then press the ￿button.

The picture expands and the chosen ZOOM mode is dis- played in about 5 seconds.

Note:

You can pre-set a ZOOM mode for the normal pic- ture. See “4:3 AUTO ASPECT” on page 18.

If subtitles or the top (or bottom) of the picture are cut off, ad- just the visible area of the picture manually.

1Press the ￿button.

The ZOOM menu appears.

2Press the ￿button to display the ZOOM mode indication.

Indicator is displayed.

3While it is displayed, press the ￿ buttons to adjust the visible area vertically.

Note:

You cannot adjust the visible area in REGULAR or FULL mode.

You can turn the PRO LOGIC 3D-PHONIC function on or off, or you can switch to the 3D HEADPHONE function by one- touch operation.

Press ￿button.

Pressing ￿button changes the function as follows:

Note:

If some other surround function is activated before you press the 3 D button, you can return to that surround func- tion.

The PRO LOGIC 3D-PHONIC function will be activated when no headphones are connected. For details, see “PRO LOGIC 3D-PHONIC” on page 21.

The 3D HEADPHONE function will be activated when headphones are connected. For details, see “3D HEAD- PHONE” on page 23.

The 3D lamp on the TV lights when the PRO LOGIC 3D- PHONIC function is activated.
