You can enjoy Dolby Pro Logic* surround sound with addi- tional surround speakers.

Preparation:

Before using the DOLBY PRO LOGIC function, first connect the surround speakers to the TV, then set the items in the DOLBY PRO LOGIC function properly. For details, see “Connecting Speakers/Amplifier” on page 37.

1Press the ￿ buttons to choose DOLBY PRO LOGIC.

To cancel the DOLBY PRO LOGIC function:

Press the ￿buttons to choose SURROUND OFF.

2Press the ￿ button to complete the set- ting.

The menu disappears.

Note:

The DOLBY PRO LOGIC function will not work cor- rectly unless you connect additional surround speakers.

The DOLBY PRO LOGIC function is only available for Dolby Surround encoded programmes.

Even if you do not have surround speakers, the PRO LOGIC 3D-PHONIC function lets you enjoy the at- mosphere of Dolby Pro Logic surround sound. For details, see “PRO LOGIC 3D-PHONIC” on page 21.

You can enjoy enhanced sound with one of the following four surround functions:

DANCE CLUB:

This function creates a dance club atmosphere. It does not work properly for the mono sound.

CONCERT HALL:

This function creates a concert hall atmosphere. It does not work properly for the mono sound.

STADIUM:

This function creates a stadium atmosphere. It does not work properly for the mono sound.

HYPER SOUND:

This function enhances mono sound to create a stereo sound feel. It does not work properly for the stereo sound.

To cancel the function:

Press the ￿buttons to choose SURROUND OFF.

2Press the ￿ button to complete the set- ting.

The menu disappears.

Note:

The above function does not work properly for the Dolby Surround encoded programmes.
