The sub-menu >Factory Settings will be displayed.

7.8.1 Restore Factory Settings

This function will delete all personal settings, and will restore all default settings as program-

med in the factory.

7.8.2 Delete All Programs

This function will delete all channels/programmes stored in memory.

>Use the up/down arrow keys to select the entry.

>Confirm with the OK key.

Please note any notes and information displayed on the screen.

7.8.3 Service Channel

In addition, your receiver provides a facility for its operating software to be updated via satel- lite (ASTRA at 19° East).

>Press the OK key to call up the sub-menu Software

>In order to update the software, mark the entry Download enabled.

>Confirm yes by pressing the OK key.

>Read the note displayed on screen, and confirm with the OK key.

>Press the Menu key to return to normal operation.

In order to load the updated software overnight, the receiver must be left in the Standby mode. The progress of the download will be indicated by "SatL" on the display. This download should NOT be interrupted by swit- ching the receiver on or off while it is in progress.

When the software has been fully loaded, the function Download enabled will be automatical- ly reset to no.

Should the parameters of the data channel for the download of software updates be chan- ged, you can correct them in this menu as described under points 7.7.3 and 7.7.4 (search for transponders and programmes). Current transponder information can be obtained from your retailer, or from our homepage in the Internet. Under normal circumstances you should not change the settings in this menu.

7.8.4 EPG Channel

Your receiver provides the facility of receiving a dedicated data channel with expanded EPG information via the ASTRA satellite system at 19° East. This enables you to preview pro - grammes for up to a week in advance. If you do not wish to receive this additional data, or if it is not available at your location, data reception may be disabled as follows:

>Press the OK key to display the sub-menu EPG.

>Choose the setting Download enabled yes in order to receive the data channel, or Download enabled no in order to disable reception.

The EPG information provided by broadcasters/channels is only now available.
