CHAPTER 7 OPERATIONS

Channel type icon, TV or radio

Channel number and the name of channel

Audio track status, left, right or stereo

Lock status

-MUTE : Mutes the current channel audio track.

-POWER : Turns the receiver power on/off.

-SOUND : Sets the current channel audio track to stereo/ left-mono/ right-mono.

-LANG : Shows the list of the audio language available in the current channel.(The selecte d audio language information is stored)

-TV/RADIO : Switch the unit from TV to radio mode.

-Numericbuttons(0-9) :You can select channel by inputting the channel number directly.

-Up/Down :Enter the previous/next channel or move up/down.

-MENU : To enter the Main Menu.

-OK : To confirm a selection in any mode.

-EXIT : Press this button to exit root menu.

-INFO : If you press the INFO button once, a banner is displayed on the top of the screen, and if you press the button again before the banner has disappeared, the banner will now shown the details of the current channel.

-FAV :Press this button to display Favorite List.

-EPG : To display the ELECTRONIC PROGRAMME GUIDE menu .

Radio List

If you press the TV/RADIO/OK button on the remote control, the screen will display as show below .You can preview the channel and select the channel by pressing the UP/ DOWN button.

5. BASIC CONNECTION

Ensure all the cables are disconnected from the main unit before connecting to the AC power source using the AC power adaptor.

Read through the instructions before connecting other equipment.

5-1 CONNECTING TO AC POWER SOURCE

5-2 CONNECT EXTERNAL AERIAL( ANTENNA) TO UNIT

Install external antenna into the aerial (antenna) jack for best picture.

It is recommended to connect a DVD /VCR.

Ensure that this player and other equipment to be connected are set to off and disconnect the AC adaptor before commencing connection.

Ensure that you observe the color coding when connecting audio and video cables.

Note:

During DVD play, the TV volume may be at a lower level than during TV broadcasts, etc. If this is the case, adjust the volume to the desired level.
