No function works even though the power is on.

•Disconnect the power cord of the AC power adaptor or remove the battery, then reconnect it after about one minute. Turn the power on. If the functions still do not work, press the RESET button on the backside of your (recording) VCR using a sharp-pointed object. (If you press the RESET button, all the settings including the date and time return to the default.

The battery pack is quickly discharged.

•The operating temperature is too low.

•The battery pack is not fully charged.

cCharge the battery pack fully again (p. 8-10).

•The battery pack is completely dead, and cannot be recharged.
