G-Code Programming

Programming is now easier than ever; simply enter the G-Code number found in the programme scheduling pages of newspapers and magazines.

G-Code numbers are numbers assigned to programmes listed in the TV programme schedule found in newspapers and TV guides. When these numbers are entered, the numbers are converted to actual programming.

G-CODEis a registered trademark of Gemstar Development Corporation. The G-CODEsystem is manufactured under licence from Gemstar Development Corporation.

Preparations

Confirm that the VCR is on.

Confirm that the TV is on and the VCR viewing channel is selected.

Insert a video cassette with an intact erasure prevention tab.

Set the VCR/TV switch E to [VCR].

Check that the clock is set to the correct time. If it has not been set, refer to page 10.

Programming a timer recording of a TV programme with the G-Code number 123456

Then, select the desired category by pressing the Cursor buttons (3421) S.

This function is activated when [JET NAVIGATOR] is set to [ON]. (See page 13.) When [JET NAVIGATOR] is set to [OFF], procced to the step 6.

Operations

1Press the G-CODE/SV button H to display the menu for entering the G-Code number on the TV.

2Press the Numeric buttons 2 to enter the G-Code number.

Notes:

– When the G-Code number is used for programming, the

recording time may be slightly longer than the actual

programme time.

– Repeat steps 2 and 3 if [PROGRAMME IS INCOMPLETE.]

It is also possible to check the

number with VCR display without
