Using the Optional DPT100 Tuner

Searching for Channels

Use the Auto Search feature to scan for available channels in your area.

1Connect the TV tuner to the DVD player.

2Connect the antenna or RF adapter to the TV tuner.

If you are using the RF adapter, be sure to connect it to an external antenna or cable TV source.

3Turn the DVD player on.

4Press Mode until “Tuner” appears in the upper left corner of the screen.

5While in Tuner mode, press Menu/TV Source to set the TV source to “Antenna” or “Cable”.

6While in Tuner mode, press Setup/Auto Search to display the Tuner Setup menu.

7Use the / buttons to select Auto Search

8 Press to begin Auto Search.

The tuner will detect and store all available TV channels in your area. This may take several minutes.

When fi nished, the DVD player will display the lowest channel found.

9Press Setup/Auto Search to exit the Tuner Setup menu.

Selecting Channels

To select stored channels:

Use the / buttons to select the previous or next stored channel.

You can also use the 0-9 keys on the remote control and press /Select to select channels directly.

Fine Tuning Channels

You can fi ne tune individual channels to improve reception.

1Press Mode until “Tuner” appears in the upper left corner of the screen.

2While in Tuner mode, press Setup/Auto Search to display the Tuner Setup menu.

3Press the / buttons to select the channel you want to fi ne tune.

4Use the / buttons to select “Freq”.

5Use the / buttons to fi ne tune the channel for optimal reception.

Adding or Removing Channels

After Auto Search has stored all available channels, you can manually add or remove channels from the list.

1Press Mode until “Tuner” appears in the upper left corner of the screen.

2While in Tuner mode, press Setup/Auto Search to display the Tuner Setup menu.

3Use the / buttons to select the channel you want to add or remove from the list.

4Use the / buttons to select “Favorite”.

5Press to toggle the “Favorite” setting between “Yes” (added) and “No” (removed).
