Display Aspect Ratio: Press SELECT to set the aspect ratio for the display device:

Widescreen = 16 x 9

Standard = 4 x 3

Digital Audio: Press SELECT to set the format of audio sent via the S/PDIF digital connection PCM or Bitstream (DD/DTS)). PCM of no decoder is present in the attached device, Bitstream if a Dolby Digital or DTS decoder is present.

HDMI: Select whether HDMI should auto-detect the video mode from the display, or be manually fixed to the specified video standard (default = AUTODETECT).

If HDMI is set to MANUAL, the Video Standard setting (see above) only selects modes for HDMI (i.e., the mode selected with Video Standard will not influence the analog outputs).

If HDMI is set to AUTODETECT, and the AVP is connected via HDMI, the Video

Standard setting is disabled.

HDMI shuts off the Composite, S-VIdeo and Component outputs.

Widescreen Formatting: Select the formatting mode for widescreen content playback on a standard aspect ratio display.

Pan-and-Scan: fills the screen

Letterbox: retains the film’s actual aspect ratio

Some DVDs do not support widescreen formatting, in which case this option has no effect.

Color Space: Select the colorspace for the display. The options are:

YUV-601(Consumer component video – default)

Leave the Color Space setting on YUV-601 if you are connecting via composite or

SVideo.

YUV-709(some professional equipment)

RGB 0-255(some projectors and monitors)

Screen Saver Timeout (minutes): Increase/decrease screensaver timeout in increments of 1 minute by selecting the Up or Down arrow and pressing SELECT.

A setting of zero disables the screensaver.

Apply & Save Settings as Default: Apply the current settings and save them as the default. If video settings were changed, they will be tested for 10 seconds. Confirm to save, cancel or wait for timeout to revert to previous settings.

On exiting the Setup page, the system will prompt you to save any changes, if any settings have been changed.
