6 If you press the CM SKIP button, the section corresponding to the set time is skipped, and then the next section is played.

CM Skip

■ CM Skip can be performed only during normal NOTE playback.

■When the time set is less than a remaining time of a current title: The next title is played from the beginning.

■When the time set is less than a remaining time of a play list, the next scene is played.

■CM Skip is not performed with respect to a still picture.

■When a set time is less than a remaining time of a scene, a last title, or a last track that is dis- played currently, a prohibition mark appears.

■When the time set is less than the remaining time of the currently displayed track, title or scene, a prohibition mark appears.

■CM Skip releases Repeat (including Repeat A-B, Chapter, and Title).

■This may not operate with some DVD-Video discs.

Setting Up NICAM

Options

NICAM programs are divided into 3 types. NICAM Stereo, NICAM Mono and Bilingual (transmission in another language). NICAM programs are always accompanied by a standard mono sound broadcast and you can select the desired sound by setting NICAM on or off.

1 With the unit in stop mode, press the MENU button on the remote.

2 Select “Setup” using 34 buttons, then press the 1 or OK button.

3 Using the 34 buttons, move the selection bar to “System” then press 1 or OK to select.

4 Using the 34 buttons, move the selection bar to “NICAM” then press 1 or OK to select.

5 Using the 34 and OK buttons, select “On” or “Off”.

•Off: Only set at this position to record the standard mono sound during a NICAM broadcast if the stereo sound is distorted due to inferior reception conditions.

•On: NICAM mode
