If this is the first time you have entered the password, you will be prompted to enter it again to confirm.

Use the / buttons to select the desired rating (from 1-Kids Safe to 8-Adult).

Press Play /Enter to confirm your selection.

Password

Sets or changes the password for the Ratings feature:

Use the / buttons to select Password and press Play /Enter.

Enter a 5-digit password and press Play /Enter. Store the pass- word in a safe place so you can recall it later.

You will be prompted to enter the password again to confirm.

Screen Saver

Enables or disables Screen Saver:

Use the / buttons to select Screen Saver and press Play / Enter.

Use the / buttons to select On or Off.

If you select On, the DVD+RW icon will appear whenever the unit is left alone for several minutes to protect your TV screen.

Angle Mark

Enables or disables Angle Marks during DVD playback:

Use the / buttons to select Angle Mark and press Play / Enter.

Use the / buttons to select On or Off.

If you select On, a camera icon will appear on screen whenever an alternative angle is available during DVD playback.

Factory Reset

Resets all Setup menu options to their original settings.

Use the / buttons to select Factory Reset.

Use the / buttons to select Confirm or Cancel. If you select Confirm all custom settings will be lost and the DVD Recorder will restart in Initial Setup mode, see page 14.

:: Disc Media Settings

Use to finalize a DVD+R disc or erase a DVD+RW disc. Only avail- able when a DVD+R/+RW is loaded.

1Press Setup.

2Use the / buttons to select Disc Media and press Play / Enter.

3Choose from the following:

Finalize DVD+R

Finalizes a DVD+R disc so it will play in most DVD players.

Use the / buttons to select Finalize.

Use the / buttons to select Confirm (or Cancel). If you select Confirm, the DVD+R will be closed to further recording and will be compatible with most DVD players.

Erase DVD+RW

Erases a DVD+RW disc so it can be recorded over again.

Use the / buttons to select Erase.

Use the / buttons to select Confirm (or Cancel). If you select Confirm, the DVD+RW will be erased.
