The Speed and Power of FireWire

EyeTV 200 features a FireWire interface, making it possible to stream high-quality, MPEG-2 encoded television to watch and record on the Mac. FireWire, the gold standard of high- speed data transfer, delivers data at more than 30 times the bandwidth of the USB peripheral standard. FireWire also provides EyeTV 200 with bus power directly from the Mac, elimina- ting the need for an additional power supply or cords.

*External power supply may be required if additional peripherals draw FireWire bus power.
