Lock Settings

Lock System

Allows you to set up specific programs and ratings through blocking schemes. Also allows you to activate or disable all of the lock schemes previously set up. A password is required to gain access to the lock menu options. When the Lock System is set to [OFF], the DTV Rating is not effective.

1.Select [Lock System] option then press d.

2.To access the Lock Menu options, you must input the 4-digit password you created.

If you have not yet entered a password you are prompted to do so. Input a 4-digit password. Enter it again to verify. If you make a mistake, press CLEAR repeatedly to delete numbers one by one then correct it.­

3.Select [ON] or [OFF] using the s/wbuttons.

4.Press ENTER (b) to confirm your setting.

DVD Rating

1.Select a rating from 1 to 8 using the s/w buttons.

[1]-[8]

Rating one (1) has the most restrictions and rating eight (8) is the least restrictive

[No Limit]

If you select [No Limit], parental

control is not active and the disc plays in full.

2.Press ENTER (b) to confirm your rating selection, then press HOME (n) to exit the menu.

3.Press EJECT, OPEN/CLOSE (B) to activate parental control.

If you set a rating for the recorder, all disc scenes with the same rating or lower are played. Higher rated scenes are not played unless an alternate scene is available on the disc. The alternative must have the same rating or a lower one. If no suitable alternative is found, playback stops. You must enter the

4-digit password or change the rating level in order to play the disc.

DTV Rating

Viewing of some digital TV programmes can be limited according to the age limit you set.

1.Display [Setup] menu.

2.Use s/wto select [LOCK] and press ENTER (b).

3.Use s/wto select [DTV Rating] and press ENTER (b).

4.Input the password using numerical buttons. If you have not set your password yet, input and press ENTER (b).

5.Use s/wto set the limitation level and press ENTER (b).

[No Control]

You can view all programs.

[4 ~ 18 Year(s)]

If you select [No Limit], parental control is not active and the disc plays in full.
