EDID MANAGEMENT

EDID Modes

1.EXTERNAL MODE:

In order to use the external (display) EDID, the DVI to VGA Converter must be powered after it has been connected to the display. If the Converter is powered before it is connected to the display, then the internal EDID will be used.

2.INTERNAL MODE:

The internal EDID is a preset EDID that is stored in the DVI to VGA Converter. This pre-programmed standard EDID data structure is compatible with most A/V displays. All resolutions and audio formats specified in

the internal EDID will be passed to the source device. See page 8 for a complete listing of the resolutions and audio formats listed in the internal EDID.
