MULTI-FUNCTION LD CARD

4.6 Multipoint Applications

The Multi-Function LD Card supports multipoint applications using equipment arranged in a star topology. Maximum distance between the units will vary based on the number of drops, data rate, wire gauge, etc. Call your supplier’s technical support for distance estimates more specific to your application. Figures 4-3 and 4-4 below show how to wire two-pair and one-pair cables respectively for a Multi-Function LD Card star network.
