D isplay Options

From the display options menu you will access to all the special settings. Follow these intructions:

1If a disc is playing, press STOP (29).

2Call the “MAIN MENU” with the menu key (19).

3Select “Display Options” with key number 7 (24).

4Move to item with (14, 17) arrows then use ok (15) to confirm a selection or select with number key (24).

(4x3 PS, 4x3 LB, 16x9).

• 2

Still State:

(Field, Frame, Auto).

• 3 On Screen Messages:

(On / Off).

• 4

Display Brightness:

(Bright, Dim, Auto Dim).

• 5

Black Level:

(Light, Normal).

• 6 NTSC Disc Output:

(Pal 60 Hz, NTSC).

• 7

SCART Output:

(Video, S-video, RGB).

Underlined options are default settings (ex: factory).

5Choose a setting with (18, 16) arrows or with the ok (15) key.

2 - Still state

If the picture should flicker when you pause a DVD, try changing the still mode settings.

1Select “Still state”; then select a value with (18, 16) arrows.

1a Auto”: let the player choose the best format for still picture: “Frame” for film or “Field” for video.

However, it may sometimes be necessary to select manually to obtain the highest still picture quality.

1b Field”: when still picture shakes (video material).

Still field: only one field (half of the video information) is displayed on the TV screen, so the apparent resolution is low. However, there is no blurring on the screen.

1c Frame”: for clearer picture definition (film material).

Still frame: the two fields are displayed, alternately, on the TV screen, so the image is blurry. However, the image quality is better than field images.
