ALT. CH (Alternate Channel) Button

Press to return to the TV channel you were viewing immediately before switching to your current channel.

CHANNEL Up/Down Buttons

Press to scan through the TV/VCR’s channels.

VOLUME Up/Down Buttons

Press to adjust the sound level. If you press the VOLUME Up/Down buttons when the sound is muted, the sound will be restored.

MUTE Button

Press to eliminate the TV/VCR’s sound. Press again to return to the previous volume level.

F.FWD/+ Button

When in Stop mode, press to fast forward the tape at high speed. During tape playback, press to fast forward while the picture stays on-screen. Details are on page 50.

Press to change a setting of a pop up menu item.

Press to adjust the picture controls. Details are on pages 24 - 25.

STOP/Button

Press to stop tape playback or recording.

Press to select an item in the pop up menu.

PAUSE/STILL Button

In Record mode, press to temporarily stop the recording (pause). Press again to resume recording. Details are on page 29. You can- not pause a One Touch Recording that is set for a specific length of time.

During tape playback, press to freeze the picture (still). Each time you press the PAUSE/STILL button, the noise lines will change position on-screen. Details are on page 50.

MEMORY Button

Press to memorize a tape position at which the real time counter was set to 0:00:00. Details are on page 48. Or, press to memorize the start and end position on a tape when setting up A-B Repeat Playback. Details are on pages 46 - 47.

CLEAR Button

Press to erase incorrect data when programming TV/VCR func- tions. Also, press to reset the real time counter. Details are on page 48.

VCR PLUS+ Button

Press to set a Timer Recording with the VCR Plus+ programming system. Details are on pages 36-39.
