Solution

Check the connections on the back of your HDTV and on the back of the component.

Make sure that the video input source is within the range of your HDTV. Compare the video input source’s specifications with your HDTV specifications.

If you are in RGB mode (PC), make sure that H-Size and V.Position in the OSD are set correctly. See “Adjusting the Settings”

Press MENU/SELECT key on the remote control and select the PICTURE menu, in the submenu please choose the Wide option, scroll through the screen modes.

Make sure that the volume is not turned down.

Make sure that the sound is not muted.

Check the connections on the back of your HDTV and on the back of the component.

Your HDTV is manufactured using an extremely high level of precision technology. However, some pixels of your TV may not display. Pixel defects within industry specifications are inherent to this type of product and do not constitute a defective product.

When your HDTVs’ digital capabilities exceed a digital broadcast signal, the signal is up-converted (increased) to match your HDTVs display capabilities. Up-converting can cause noise or trash.

Your HDTV remembers the volume level from the last time you adjusted it. If the sound level is higher or lower from another input, then the volume will change.

The HDTV remembers the viewing mode from the last time you used a particular input (AV, Component, HDMI, and TV).

Disable DCR (Dynamic Contrast Ratio). Backlight settings will not work if DCR is enabled.
