Chapter 9 Programming the VIZIO Universal Remote Control

Setting Up Your Universal Remote

Your VIZIO universal remote control is programmable and supports up to four different devices. Listed below are the steps for programming your TV, DVD player, Home Theater System, and a Cable or Satellite Box. Once you find your codes, write them in the table provided.

Programming your TV

1.Turn on your HDTV.

2.Press and release your HDTV button on the VIZIO universal remote control.

3.Press and hold SET until the LED flashes twice.

4.Find the programming code for your TV in the code list below and enter it using the number buttons. If the code is accepted, the LED flashes twice after the last digit is entered. If the LED does not flash twice, repeat Steps 2 through 4 with the next code listed.

5.Point the VIZIO universal remote control at your HDTV and press POWER. Your HDTV will turn off. If your HDTV does not turn off, repeat Steps 2 through 4 with the next code listed for the device and manufacturer.

Programming your Blu-ray or DVD Player

1.Turn on the DVD player.

2.Press and release the DVD button on the VIZIO universal remote control.

3.Press and hold SET until the LED flashes twice.

4.Find the programming code for your DVD player in the code list below and enter it using the number buttons. If the code is accepted, the LED flashes twice after the last digit is entered. If the LED does not flash twice, repeat Steps 2 through 4 with the next code listed.

5.Point the VIZIO universal remote control at the DVD player and press POWER. The DVD player will turn off. If the DVD player does not turn off, repeat Steps 2 through 4 with the next code listed for the device and manufacturer.
