Television broadcasters employ a rating system to qualify the content of television programs as well.

The MPAA, YOUTH TV and TV ratings work with the V- CHIP feature and allow you to block out programming above the rating limits you determine.

Youth TV Ratings

Y7FV, Y7, Y Directed to older children. This program is designed for children age 7 and above. Programs in which fantasy violence may be more intense or combative than other programs in this category are designated TV- Y7-FV.

YAll children. This program is designed to be appropriate for all children.
