Initial Setup

When you first rum on or reset the TV, the Initial Setup window will appear.

1 In the Menu Language field, press _ or _ to

select your preferred lan_lage.

2Press • or • to select Time Zone Setup and set your desired time zone with _ or _ and press

3Next, the Location setting window will appear. For normal home use, press @ to select Home.

4Next, ANT/CABLE in setup window will appear. Press _ or _ to select the input source (Cable or Antenna) for the ANT/CABLE input on the TV.

5If you select Antenna, the Channel Tuning Mode setup window will appear. To tune only digital

channels, select Digital. To rune digital channels

preferentially over analog when entering channel number directly, select Auto. For normal tuning,

select Standard. Press @ to continue to Auto Tuning.

6Press @ to select Start Scan and continue with the Auto Tuning.

You can stop the Initial Setup with E_T. However if you do not finish the entire Initial Setup process, the Initial Setup window will appear every time you turn on the TV.

Selecting the menu language

You can choose from three different lan_mges

(English, French, and Spanish) for the on-screen display of menus and messages.

To select the menu language:

1 Press u_u and open the Preferences menu,

highlight Menu Language.

2 Press _ or _ to select your preferred menu lan_mge.

3 Press E_T to close the Preferences menu.

Configuring the antenna input source for the ANT/CABLEterminal

To configure the ANT/CABLE input source:

1 Press M_u and open the Setup menu.

2 Highlight Installationand press _.

3 (A new set of Installation menu icons will appear,

as shown below.) Open the Terrestrial menu,

highlight Input Configuration, and press @.

4 Highlight ANT/CABLEIn and press _ or I_ to select the input source (Cable or Antenna) for the ANT/CABLEinput on the TV.

5To save your new settings, highlight Dogeand press @. To revert to your original settings,

highlight Cancel and press @.

Programming channels into the TV'schannel memory

When you press _ or [_] on the remote control or TV control panel, your TV will stop only on the channels you pro_ammed into the TV's channel memory.

Follow the steps below to program channels into the TV's channel memory.
