Connecting to a HD receiver, DVD, or VCR player

Connect a HD receiver, DVD, or VCR player to the TV and select an appropriate input mode.

HDMI Connection

HDMI is the best way to connect a device.

Transmits the digital video and audio signals from an external device to the TV. Connect t he external device and the TV with the HDMI cable as shown in the following illustration.

ARC (Audio Return Channel)

When connected with a high-speed HOMI cable , digital aud io can be sent to a c ompactible device without an additio nal opti cal audio cable.

ARC is only supported on the HDMI input 1 (AR C) port. An extern al audio device th at supports ARC should be connected to HDMI 1 if you wish to use AR C
