Regional code

This DVD+VCR is designed and

manufactured for playback of 1 ALL region “1” encoded DVD soft-

ware. This unit can play only DVD discs labeled “1” or “ALL”.

Notes on Regional Codes

Most DVD discs have a globe with one or more num- bers in it clearly visible on the cover. This number must match your DVD+VCR’s regional code or the disc cannot play.

If you try to play a DVD with a different region code from your player, the message “Check Regional Code” appears on the TV screen.

About the Remote Control

Operation Range

Point the remote control at the remote sensor and press the buttons.

Distance: About 23 ft (7 m) from the front of the remote sensor.

Angle: About 30° in each direction of the front of the remote sensor.

Battery installation

Detach the battery cover on the rear of the remote control, and insert two

AAA AAA

(R03/AAA) size batteries with 3 and # aligned correctly.

Caution

Never throw batteries into a fire.

Notes:

Be sure to use AAA size batteries.

Dispose of batteries in a designated disposal area.

Batteries should always be disposed of with the environ- ment in mind. Always dispose of batteries in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

If the remote control does not operate correctly, or if the operating range becomes reduced, replace batteries with new ones.

When necessary to replace batteries in the remote control, always replace both batteries with new ones. Never mix battery types or use new and used batteries in combina- tion.

Always remove batteries from remote control if they are dead or if the remote control is not to be used for an extended period of time. This will prevent battery acid from leaking into the battery compartment.

Selecting the Viewing Source

You must select one of your output sources (DVD or VCR) to view on the TV screen.

If you want to view DVD deck output source:

Press DVD until DVD indicator in the display window lights and output source of DVD deck is viewed on the TV screen.

If you want to view VCR deck output source:

Press VCR until VCR indicator in the display window lights and output source of VCR deck is viewed on the TV screen.

Notes:

If you insert a disc while the DVD+VCR is in the VCR mode, the DVD+VCR will switch to DVD mode automati- cally.

If you insert a cassette tape without prevention tab while the DVD+VCR is in the DVD mode, the DVD+VCR will

switch to VCR mode automatically.
