ABOUT THIS OWNER’S MANUAL

This owner’s manual explains the basic instructions of this M55. Some DVD/DVD-A/SACD/VCD/CD media have functions that may not be explained in this owner’s manual. Therefore, some instructions may differ from the M55 owner’s manual, and there may be extra instructions. In this case, follow the instructions displayed on the media package or displayed on the OSD during operation.

NOTES

Refer to the owner’s manual of your audio equipment as well. When you connect the M55 to other equipment, be sure to turn off the power and unplug all of the equipment from the wall outlet before making any connections. The output sound of the M55 has a wide dynamic range. Be sure to adjust the receiver’s volume to a moderate listening level. Otherwise, the speakers may be damaged by a sudden high volume sound. Turn off the receiver before you connect or disconnect the M55’s power cord. If you leave the receiver power on, the speakers may be damaged.

When playing high bit rate recordings, like DVD-Audio or SACD, some of the video menus may become unresponsive. Under these conditions all of the M55's resources are being used to decode the audio data.

For gapless playback of musical works that include individual tracks but no silent gaps between songs or movements, the disc should be played from the beginning without interruption. Skipping tracks or using the Program Mode will introduce gaps.
