LASER SAFETY
•Laser light - Do not stare into beam or view directly with optical instruments. Do not point laser light at others. Laser light can cause eye damage.
•Avoid exposure to laser radiation. Laser may emit hazardous radiation.
•Do not point laser at reflective surfaces. Un- predictable results may occur.
WORK AREA SAFETY
•Keep children and bystanders away while operating Plumb Laser. Store idle plumb laser out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the tool or these instructions to operate them.
•Avoid dangerous environments. Do not use in rain, snow, damp or wet locations. Do not use in the presence of explosive atmospheres (gaseous fumes, dust or flammable materials) because sparks may be generated when inserting or removing battery pack, possibly causing fire.

BATTERY USE AND CARE
•Plumb Laser is rated for 12 V DC only. Use only appropriate MILWAUKEE battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
•Remove the battery pack before storing. Store in a cool, dry place. Do not store where tem- peratures may exceed 120°F (50°C) such as in direct sunlight, a vehicle or metal building during the summer.
•Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
SERVICE
•Have your Plumb Laser serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the tool is maintained.
•Do not disassemble. Incorrect reassembly may result in the risk of electric shock or fire. If it is dam- aged, take it to a MILWAUKEE service facility.
•Store in a cool, dry place. Do not store where temperatures may exceed 120°F (50°C) such as in direct sunlight, a vehicle or metal building during the summer.

OPERATION
Using the 2-Beam Plumb Laser
Turn the plumb laser on and off by pressing the on/ off button. The power indicator will go on or off. The power indicator will blink when the battery pack has less than 1 hour of run time left.
Place the plumb laser in the desired location. If the laser beams begins to flash, the tool is more than 4° out of level. Adjust the plumb laser until the laser beams do not flash. NOTE: The plumb laser is self leveling within 4° - it does not need to be perfectly flat.
always unplug the charger and remove the battery pack from the charger or tool before performing any maintenance. Never disas- semble the tool, battery pack or charger. Contact a MILWAUKEE service facility for ALL repairs.
Maintaining Tool
Keep your tool, battery pack and charger in good re- pair by adopting a regular maintenance program.
If the tool does not start or operate at full power with a fully charged battery pack, clean the contacts on the battery pack. If the tool still does not work properly, return the tool, charger and battery pack, to a MILWAUKEE service facility for repairs.
Checking Accuracy of the Plumb Laser
With a ceiling height of 10’ to 20', turn on the plumb laser.
Step A - Mark the location of the top and bottom beams.
Step B - Rotate the plumb laser 180° and line up the bottom beam with the mark made in Step A. The top beam should line up with the mark from Step A. If they do not line up, the laser is out of plumb. If this happens, contact a MILWAUKEE service facility.
WARNING To reduce the risk of per- sonal injury and damage, never immerse your tool, battery pack or charger in liquid or allow a liquid to flow inside them.
Cleaning the Laser Windows
Clean the laser windows with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol to keep them clean and clear. Remove battery pack before cleaning.
