Setting the Preferred Languages

Using this feature, users can select one of the four languages (English, Welsh, Gaelic, Irish). The language selected here is the default when the user selects a channel.

1Press the D.MENU button.

Result: The DTV menu is displayed.

2Press the or button to select Preference. Result: The Preference menu is displayed.

3Press the ENTER/OK ( ) button.

4Select your required menu by pressing the or button.

5Press the ENTER/OK ( ) button.

Result: The options of the selected menu are displayed.

6Select the required option by pressing the or button, and press the ENTER/OK ( ) button to change the setting.

Gaelic, Irish

If you change the language setting, the Subtitle Language and the Audio Language of the features menu (refer to page 31) are automatically changed to the selected language.

The Subtitle Language and the Audio Language of the features menu show a list of languages supported by the current channel and the selection is highlighted. If you change this language setting, the new selection is only valid for the current channel. The changed setting does not change the setting of the

Preferred Subtitle Language or the Preferred Audio Language of the preference menu.

7Press the D.MENU button to return to the previous menu or press the EXIT button to return to normal viewing.

When you start using your DTV for the first time, you must select the language which will be used for displaying menus and indications.

1Press the D.MENU button.

Result: The DTV menu is displayed.

2Press the or button to select Preference. Result: The Preference menu is displayed.

3Press the ENTER/OK ( ) button.

4Press the or button to select OSD Language. Press the ENTER/OK ( ) button.

5Select a particular language by pressing the or button repeatedly. Press the ENTER/OK ( ) button to change the setting.

6Press the D.MENU button to return to the previous menu or press the EXIT button to return to normal viewing.
