Setting Up and Connecting

Advanced Connection Set Up Steps:

Make sure the power cords for your Multi-Satellite Receiver, TV, and VCR are unplugged before connecting any of the cables.

Connect your satellite dish antenna to the SATELLITE IN jack on the back of the Multi-Satellite Receiver with RG-6 coaxial cable running from the dish.

Connect your cable or off-air antenna to the IN FROM ANTENNA jack on the back of the Multi-Satellite Receiver with the coaxial cable running from the cable system or installed off-air antenna.

Connect the Multi-Satellite Receiver TEL LINE jack to a telephone wall jack with the included telephone cord.

Connect the Multi-Satellite Receiver TV OUT jack to the IN FROM ANT terminal on the VCR with the included short coaxial cable.

Connect the VCR OUT TO TV jack to the IN terminal on the TV with a short coaxial cable (not included).

Connect the red and white audio cables from the R-Audio-L jacks on the back of the Multi-Satellite Receiver to the AUDIO jacks on the TV. Please be sure to match the colors on the jacks with the same colors on the included audio cables.

Connect the yellow video cable between the VIDEO jack on the back of the Multi-Satellite Receiver to the VIDEO jack on the TV.

Connect the power cords for your Multi-Satellite Receiver, TV, and VCR to wall outlets.

To watch DIRECTV programming

Set your TV to the appropriate A/V mode (TV input selection).

If you have difficulty setting this A/V mode (TV input selection), refer to your TV owner’s manual.

To record DIRECTV programming

Tune your Multi-Satellite Receiver to the desired channel and set your VCR to record on channel 3 or 4, depending on your setting for the default TV output channel.

To view VCR recordings

Tune your TV to the default TV output channel (channel 3 or 4) and press play on your VCR.
