To improve tuner reception

When tuner reception is poor, set the CD power

manage function to "(D POWER OFF" The default setting is "CD POWER ON".

Use buttons on the system for the operation.

1 Press CD.

2 Press I/_ to turn off the system.

3 Press I/_ while holding II.

"CD POWER OFF" appears in the display.

To set CD power on

Repeat the procedure above and "CD POWER

ON" appears in the display.

Notes

When "CD POWER OFF" is selected, CD access time is increased.

You cannot change the CD power management setting in the Power Saving Mode (page 29).

To change the AM tuning interval

(except for Middle Eastern

models)

Use buttons on the system for the operation. The factory settings for AM tuning interval is

9 kHz (or 10 kHz for some areas). To change the AM tuning interval, tune in any AM station first, then mrn off the system. While holding down ENTER, press I/(_) When you change the

interval, all the AM preset stations are erased.-*tTo reset the interval, repeat the same procedure.

Note

You cannot change the AM tuning intmval in the Power Saving Mode (page 29)
