(8)Select a third HDD of [*] Ext. Press the “Apply ” button after selecting action as “Format ”. Then [*] is changed to [R].

(9)Select a fourth HDD of [*] Ext . Press the “Apply ” button after selecting action as “Format ”. Then [*] is changed to [R].

(10)Press the [EXIT] button to shut down “Disk Manager”.

When using RAID

The following description is when ELX16-240 does ’t have internal primary disk and 2 sets of IEEE1394 HDD.

(1)When external HDD RAID is connected to IEEE1394 port, “Disk Manager” runs automatically. If not, run it manually in “MenuàUtility àDisk Manager”.

(2)Select a first HDD of [F] Ext. Press the “Apply ” button after selecting action as “Add ”. Then [F] is changed to [*].

It is when ExtA is added as primary disk.

If connecting the device that is used in ELX16 -240, type will be indicated as [V].

(3)Select a second HDD of [F] Ext . Press the “Apply ” button after selecting action as “Add”. Then [F] is changed to [*].

(4)Select a first HDD of [*] Ext . Press the “Apply” button after selecting action as “Format ”. Then [*] is changed to [R].

(5)Select a second HDD of [*] Ext . Press the “Apply ” button after selecting action as “Format ”. Then [*] is changed to [R].

(6)Press the [EXIT] button to shut down “Disk Manager”.
