30 Programmed Playback
AUDIO CD VIDEO CD
You may play Tracks in an order you specify instead of playing the Tracks in normal order (1, 2, 3, etc.). The order in which you set the Tracks to play is a Program. For example, if you want to set up an Audio CD so Track 12 will play first, put Track 12 in Program position number one (1). To set up a Program, follow these steps.
1 Press SYSTEM MENU.
2 GENERAL SETUP will be selected. Press OK.
3 Press 9 to select PROGRAM, then press - to select ON. You cannot select PROGRAM when a DVD is in the Player.

4 Press OK. The PROGRAM PLAY PAGE will appear. This is where you enter the Track numbers in the order in which you want to play them. The Number 1 space will be selected automatically as your starting point.
While the Number 1 space is highlighted, press the Number buttons to enter the Track number you want to play first. The Track number will appear in the box beside the number 1.

5 Use the 8, 9, ;, : buttons to move to the next Program position, then use the Number buttons on the remote con- trol to enter your other Tracks. Repeat this process until you have entered all the Tracks you want in the Program. If you enter an incorrect Track number in one of the previous Program positions, press 89 ; : to select the Program position. Press any Number button to clear the box. Use the Number but- tons to reenter the correct Track number you want.
6 When you have entered all the Tracks you want in the Program, press 9, ;, and/or : to select PROG at the bot- tom of the PROGRAM PLAY PAGE. Then, press OK. This will store the Tracks in the Program. The Program may start playing automatically. If not, press PLAY - to start playing the Program. The Program will play repeatedly until you stop playback.
To resume normal playback, press STOP C twice to stop playing the Program. When you press PLAY
Helpful Hints
•You can enter a maximum of 96 Tracks in a Program. To access the PROGRAM PLAY PAGES for positions
•To erase all the Tracks from the Program, press 9 and/or ; to select CLEAR at the bottom of the PROGRAM PLAY PAGE, then press OK. This clears all the Program positions.
•To stop entering Tracks in the Program, press 9 and/or : to select QUIT at the bottom of the PROGRAM PLAY PAGE, then press OK. When you play the Disc, Tracks will play in nor- mal order (1, 2, 3, etc.).
•The Program will accept a Track number only if it is available on the current Disc.
