PROBLEM

Missing or wrong TV channels

The cable box do not always react to the IR Blaster

In the TV Guide On Screen'LISTINGS' screen, I see too many or too less TV Channels

My cable box does not react on the remote control from the cable box or automatically switches through the channels

There is picture or sound interference on TV reception:

Distorted sound coming from a connected hi amplifier

The picture is distorted or black during playback

No sound signal at the digital output

There could be difference in the search speed of a DVD and DVD+RW

SOLUTION

bWrong cable connection selected

bThe Infrared (IR) Remote control signal interfere with the IR signal of the IR Blaster Put the IR Blaster closer to the front of the cable box.

bThe number of TV channels depends on the setting in the TV Guide On Screensytem settings.

If you have a cable box installed (cable box 'YES'), then you should switch on the available channels (Channels above 125).

bIf you have no cable box installed (cable box 'NO'), then you should switch off the channels which are not available.

bIf the DVD-Recorder is switched off ( STANDBY m button) the cable box will be used from the TV Guide On Screensystem via the DVD-Recorder. If you want to watch TV-Channels from the cable box, you have to switch the DVD-Recorder on.

Then you can select the TV Channels with the remote control from the DVD-Recorder or from the cable box.

bBefore recording, select the recording mode as described in chapter 'Manual Recording', section 'Selecting the recording mode (quality)'.

bChange the channel of the modulator. During standby hold on the remote the button 3 pressed to switch to channel 3. With button 4 you switch to channel 4.

bHave your antenna checked.

bThe DVD recorder is connected to the 'Phono-input' of your amplifier: This jack is provided only for a record players without a preamplifier. Select a different audio input.

bThe TV system of the disc does not match that of your TV set (PAL/NTSC).

bThe recording can be made in color only when the TV channels or the connected additional device send a color signal. Black-and-white signals containing no color information (color subcarriers) cannot be recorded.

bCheck whether the sound settings match the selected inputs and connected additional devices. For more information, see section 'Sound setting' in chapter 'User preferences'.

bDepending on the different structure of a DVD and a DVD+RW/+R this can lead to the different search speeds. This is not a fault in your machine.
