Product Highlights

Smart Picture provides the option of selecting one of four preset positions (Soft, Natural, Rich, Personal) to enhance enjoyment of video games, sports and movies. By selecting the desired option, all the important picture elements are instantly adjusted to optimize viewing pleasure.

Smart Sound provides the option of selecting one of four preset positions (Theatre, Music, Voice, Personal) to suit each individual sound preference when viewing different programs or sources.

Incredible Surround actively processes the signal using advanced electronics and psycho-acoustic method to widen the stereo effect. This feature provides incredible sound with extra depth and an unbelievable three-dimensional effect that surrounds the user completely without the need for additional surround speakers.

Ultra Bass is a Philips patented bass enhancement system that uses psycho-acoustics and digital signal processing to enhance the bass quality of small loudspeakers. Non-audible low frequency signals are replaced by harmonics, making them audible, while giving the impression the low frequency signal itself is present.

Contrast Plus greatly enhances the degree of black to white contrast, thus optimizing the total contrast for improved picture clarity.

4 x 3 Expand expands movie images recorded in letterbox format by removing the black horizontal bars at the top and bottom and filling the entire screen.

16 x 9 Compress compresses full screen movie images recorded in letterbox format by adding the black horizontal bars at the top and bottom of the TV screen.

Smart Surf eliminates the frustration of trying to remember what channels had programs of interest while channel surfing. After establishing the Smart Surf configuration with the user-friendly menu, store up to ten channels in a Smart Surf ring memory and then surf the loop at a touch of a button.

Auto Volume Leveller (AVL)suppresses unexpected

volume increases in the sound modulation while viewing commercials or when switching broadcast channels.

Child Lock is an electronic lock that can be used to block channel(s) by entering a unique digit code. This feature is useful in preventing young children from accessing undesired program(s).

Close Caption allows the hearing impaired to read dialog and narratives (on Closed Caption telecasts) without the use of an optional, external decoding device. Program dialog and narrative material are printed at the bottom of the screen. Excellent for development of language skills and private viewing without disturbing others as well.
