Timer recording (VCR Plus+® System)

This is a simple programming system for DVD recorders. To use it, enter the PlusCode programming number associated with your television program. You can find this number in your TV listings magazine.

All the information needed by the DVD recorder for programming is contained in the programming number.

1Turn on the TV power. Select the correct Video In channel at the TV.

2Press TIMER on the remote control. The timer schedule list appears.

Or, press 4 key to go to the next available empty slot and press OK.

The VCR Plus+ System menu appears.

VCR Plus+ System

Enter the PlusCode programming number for the show you wish to record. Press [RETURN] to return to timer schedule or [TIMER] to exit timer.

To clear the VCR PlusCode programming number, press CLEAR on the remote control.

To cancel the VCR Plus+® programming, use 3 4 keys to select CANCEL in the menu and press OK.

5To confirm your entry, select CONFIRM in the menu and press OK.

The system will store the timer entry and return to the timer editor menu.

If the channel number of the TV channel has not been assigned to the PlusCode number, you will have to manually key in the channel number that is assigned to the VCR Plus+® code. Follow the instructions on the TV.

6Press TIMER to exit the menu.

7Insert a DVD+R/+RW into the DVD recorder.

8Press STANDBY-ONto turn off the DVD recorder.

If the DVD recorder is not in standby mode, a warning message will appear three minutes before the recording starts.

If you ignore the warning message, the DVD recorder will start the timer recording automatically at the designated time.

The 'TIMER’ icon will light up on the display panel if a timer recording is set.

4Use the numeric keypad 0-9 to enter the PlusCode programming number for the show you wish to record.

(e.g. : 5-312-4 or 5,312 4, key in ‘53124’.)

TIPS: Ensure that there is sufficient space available on the DVD+R/+RW before recording. You have to finalize the DVD+R before it can be played on other players, see page 36.
