Using the Conditional Access Module (CAM)

The Conditional Access Module (CAM) menu provides access to functions contained on the CAM. The module can be inserted into the Common Interface (CI) slot located at the side of the 26”/32” TV and at the rear bottom of the 37”/42” TV. Remove the sticker before inserting module.

IMPORTANT

Always switch the TV off before inserting or removing the module.

Inserting the CAM

&Switch off the TV.

éSome modules come with a viewing card. When using this type of module, first insert the viewing card into the module, before inserting the module into the CI slot on the TV.

Insert the module. If you are inserting the module from the rear of the TV (26”/32”), the 2 arrows indicated on top side of the card should be facing you. If you are inserting the module from the front of the TV screen (26”/32”), the reverse side of the module (without the arrows) should be facing you. For 37”/42’ TV, if you inserting the module from behind of the TV, the reverse side of the module (without the arrows) should be facing you.

Switch on the TV.

(Press the key to switch the TV to Digital mode, , move to the Access Restrictions menu, the Conditional Access Module menu is displayed as the last item in the list.

§Access the Conditional Access Module menu.

èPress OK button as indicated on the screen to access the CAM’s functions.

If no module is inserted, or the module is not inserted properly, the Conditional Access Module menu will not be displayed.

(If you have inserted a module, check that it is fully inserted in the correct manner as mentioned in step 3 above)

The functions that now appear on screen are dependent on the contents of the selected Conditional Access Module in your country. Refer to the instruction supplied with the module or contact the vendor.
