20 Troubleshooting

The following table describes some common problems you can encounter when using your TV. Consider the proposed solutions before you call for service.

Symptom

Possible solutions

 

No display on

Verify that the power cord is properly connected into the mains

screen

 

socket and into the TV.

 

 

• If the power cord is correctly inserted but there is no power, per-

 

 

form the following steps:

 

 

• Disconnect power cord or wall plug

 

 

• Wait for 60 seconds and then re-insert plug

 

 

• Switch on the TV

 

 

Press the

key on the remote control

 

 

 

 

Poor reception

Verify that the aerial is connected to the TV and to the wall aerial

(snow)

 

socket.

 

 

 

• Manually tune your picture as described in Manual Store on page 10.

 

• Verify that you have chosen the right TV system. For information

 

 

about TV systems, see Manual Store on page 10.

 

 

Check the signal strength by pressing the

key

 

 

 

No picture

Verify that the supplied cables are connected properly

 

• Verify that you have selected the correct source.

 

• Verify that the child lock is not activated.

 

 

 

 

No sound on

Ensure that you have chosen the right TV system. For information

certain channels

 

about TV systems, see Manual Store on page 10.

 

 

 

 

 

No sound

Verify that the volume is not at the minimum.

 

Verify that the mute ( ) mode is not on. If mute mode is on, press

thekey to turn it off.

Verify that the TV is connected correctly to the peripheral equip- ment.

Foreign language

Press the

key to exit the menu.

in the TV menus

 

 

 

Press thekey.

Press the key repeatedly to select the fourth item on the menu.

Press the key twice.

Press the Î ï keys to select correct language.

Press the key to confirm selection.

Press thekey to exit menu.
