INDEX Buttons

When tape playback is stopped, press to search for index codes recorded on the tape. Details are on page 42.

STILL/SLOW Button While recording, press to tem- porarily stop the recording. Press a second time to resume normal recording. Details are on page 29. During tape playback, press once to freeze the picture. Press repeatedly to advance the Still picture frame by frame. Details are on page 48. During tape playback, press and hold for more than three seconds to play the tape in slow motion. Details are on page 48.

S(kip). SEARCH Button Press during tape playback to fast forward 30 seconds of a tape. This feature will only work with tape segments recorded in SP or SLP speed.

CH(annel) 8/9 Buttons

After pressing the CBL/DBS, TV, or VCR button, press to scan through the channels of the Cable Box/DBS, TV, or VCR.

VOL(ume) 8/9 Buttons Press to increase or decrease the TV’s volume.

AUDIO/MUTE Button

Press the TV button, then press the AUDIO/MUTE button to eliminate the TV’s sound. Press again to restore the sound. Or, press the VCR button, then press the AUDIO/MUTE button, to select MONO or HIFI. Details are on pages 43 - 45.
