JOG & SHUTTLE

SLOW Button

During tape playback, press to view the picture in slow motion.

STOP Button

Press to stop the tape. Or, if you have a Magnavox TV, press when in TV mode to move down one row or selection in the Magnavox TV menu.

MENU Button

Press to bring up the main menu display. Or, if you have a Magnavox TV, press the TV button, then press to display the Magnavox TV menu.

F(rame). ADV(ance) Button

Press when in Still mode to advance the picture one frame at a time. Details are on page 50.

CLEAR Button

Press to erase incorrect data when programming VCR functions. Also, press to reset the real time counter. Details are on page 49.

CH(annel) Up/Down Buttons

Press to scan up or down through the VCR, TV, Cable Box, or Digital Satellite System’s channels after the channels have been programmed.

VCR/TV Button

Use to select the signal that your TV receives.

●VCR Position

Use to watch a tape, to watch a program while recording it, or to watch a TV broadcast using the CH(annel) Up/Down or Number buttons. If the VCR light appears on the display panel of the VCR, it is in VCR posi- tion.

●TV Position

Use to watch TV or to watch one program while recording another. Details are on page 32. If the VCR light does not appear on the display panel of the VCR, the VCR is in TV position.

SKIP SEARCH Button

Press during tape playback to skip forward 30 seconds at a time. Details are on page 48.

VAR(iable). SLOW Buttons

In Slow mode, press to vary the speed from 1/6 to 1/30 of normal speed. Details are on page 51.

TRACKING (Up/Down) Buttons

When in Play or Slow mode, press to adjust the tracking. Details are on page 53.

X2 PLAY Button

During tape playback, press to watch a tape at two times the normal play- back speed. Details are on page 50.

EJECT Button

When playback is stopped, press to eject the tape.

(Tape) SPEED Button

Press to select the recording speed (SP, LP or SLP). Details are on pages 36 and 60.

MEMORY Button

Press to memorize a tape position at which the real time counter was set to 0:00:00. Details are on page 49.

Helpful Hints

•Press the VCR button before pressing other VCR buttons; press the TV button before pressing other TV buttons; press the CBL/DSS button before pressing other Cable Box/Satellite System buttons.

•The buttons with a shaded description may also operate features of your TV, Cable Box, or Satellite System.

•Buttons that are shaded in the illustration light up for five seconds when you press one of them.
