Time Search

Follow the steps below to program the VCR to search forward or backward a specific length of time.

Press the VCR button.

Press the TIME SEARCH button to bring up the time search display. There must be a tape in the VCR.

Within 10 seconds, use the Number buttons to enter the desired length of time you want to skip forward or back- ward. For example, for 1 hour, 25 minutes, press Number but- tons 1, 2, 5. Or, for five minutes, press Number buttons 0, 0, 5. (Make an entry within 10 seconds of pressing the TIME SEARCH button. Otherwise, the VCR will exit Time Search mode.)

Within 10 seconds, press the Fast Forward button or the Rewind button to skip forward or backward. The VCR will skip over the specified length of time, then begin playback. (The time counts down on-screen as the searching progresses.)

Helpful Hints

If you want to search for more than 59 minutes, you must enter the length of time in hours and minutes. For example, to search forward 70 minutes, press 1,1,0 at step 3.

You can not enter the TIME SEARCH menu when you are in Recording mode.

You can remove the Time Search display by pressing the TIME SEARCH button again.

To cancel the Time Search when the VCR is fast forwarding or rewinding, press the STOP button once or the TIME SEARCH button twice.
