4. Operating Instructions

Operating Modes

A stand-alone mode will allow the user to set the desired speed and intensity.

Master/Slave output provides for unison triggering of chained strobes.

DMX-512 control protocol allows remote control of the fixture via a universal DMX controller.

Stand Alone

The Stand Alone mode is activated automatically when the fixture is absent of a CH-751, SC-1000M

or a DMX controller. Note! All dipswitches

must be set to the OFF position. The

strobe speed and strobe intensity can be

adjusted and they are located on the side

of the fixture. The strobe will continue to

operate at the user set levels until it is

turned off. Upon turning the strobe back on

the unit will continue in the previously set levels.

Unison Strobe (Master/Slave)

The Unison strobe mode will allow you to link additional units in a daisy chain fashion. Simply, connect each fixture in a daisy like fashion using certified DMX XLR cable. Be sure that all DMX dipswitches are set to the OFF position.

DMX Control Mode

In this mode the user can control the strobe light remotely. Both the intensity and the flash rate can be programmed as part of a scene or a cue. To blackout the unit entirely it requires both intensity and flash rate to be at 0 levels.

1.Connect the (male) 3 pin connector side of the DMX cable to the output (female) 3 pin connector of the controller.

2.Connect the end of the cable coming from the controller which will have a (female) 3 pin connector to the input connector of the next fixture consisting of a (male) 3 pin connector.

3.Then, proceed to connect from the DMX output as stated above to the DMX input of the following fixture and so on.

4.If you need help setting the DMX address read the section titled “Setting the DMX address” in this Chapter.
