V. SAFETY GUIDELINES

 

Eleven important rules for the safe use of your Chariot Carrier.

Read all instructionsii before use!

 

Failure to read, understand and follow these instructions may result in an otherwise avoidable accident. Your passenger could be

 

seriously injured or die.

The safe and proper use of thiis product iis your responsibiility!

 

In addition to your usual safe practices, the rules listed below must be followed at all times.

Do not modify or alter the carrieri..

4..

Child must be olld enough to sit uprighti alonel..

 

Consult your pediatrician before carrying any child younger than one year.

5..

The use of an approved helmetl for your child iis recommended..

6..

Do not exceed the maximumi loadl of 75 lbsl.. (34( kg..)) for child and cargo..

 

Articles carried in the carrier should be well anchored to avoid shifting during travel. Unstable loads and overloading make the

 

carrier less stable and more difficult to control.

7..

Alwaysl fasten shoulderl harness,, lapl belt and crotch strap securelly and tightlily around child..

 

Periodically check placement of shoulder straps, especially for a sleeping child. Make sure child cannot put fingers into the wheel

 

spokes. Instruct child not to bounce, rock or lean.

Do not leavel child unattended iin the carrieri and alwalys use parkingi brake when the carrieri iis stationaryi..

9..

To insurei a smooth ride,i, keep tires inflatedil to 30--35 P..S..II.. Check tire pressure before each use..

10.. Do not assume you have the righti--of--way..

Do not use your carrier in high traffic areas such as busy streets, highways or anyplace it may be unsafe to walk with children.

11.. Avoiid usingi the carrieri at nighti..

Your ability to see and be seen is greatly reduced. If you must use the carrier at night, use proper lighting and reflectors and wear bright reflective clothing.

VI. MAINTENANCE, CARE and STORAGE

A.. Maintenancei

Periodically check the carrier for damage. Replace at first sign of damage. Any damage / deterioration on any parts of your Chariot carrier should be repaired / replaced immediately to reduce the risk of personal injury.

B.. Fabric/Shei/ll Care

Your Chariot Carrier is manufactured from a tough, durable, water resistant fabric. Clean fabric with household soap or mild detergent and warm water only. Wipe dry. Do not machine dry.

C.. Wheells

A Chariot dealer should service wheels at least twice a year.

D.. Storage

Store your carrier in a dry, well-ventilated area. To avoid mildew, make sure carrier is dry before storing. Keep your carrier out of the sun when not in use to reduce fading.

III. ASSEMBLY

Your Chariot Carrier is shipped 99% assembled. Initial assembly takes a few minutes. After that, folding and unfolding can be done in seconds. Note:: Any reference to orientation (left or right) is from the passenger's point of view, while in the carrier.

A. CHARIOT CARRIER

1.Stand at the back of the carrier body. Grab the upper frame and pull up until it stops.

2.Pull back on both the right and left lower bars until they "snap" all the way back over centre. Figurei 1..

CAUTION:I: PULL BACK ON THE LOWER BARS FROM BEHINDI THE PIVOTI BRACKETS TO AVOIID PINCHINGII YOUR FINGERSI..

3.Insert both securing pins (hanging by straps attached to the frame) through both holes on the pivot brackets. Figurei 2..

NOTE:: Do not attempt to collapse carrieri with pinsi instailled (or( partiailly instailled))..

WARNING!I FAILUREI TO INSERTI SECURINGI PINSI CAN CAUSE CARRIERI TO COLLAPSE..

IMPORTANT:I:

Securing pins must go through both holes in each bracket.

III. ASSEMBLAGE

Votre Chariot Carrier est presque entièrement assemblée et les derniers préparatifs ne vous demanderont que quelques minutes. Par la suite, il ne vous faudra que quelques secondes pour la plier et la déplier.

Remarque:: Toute référence à la gauche ou à la droite est du point de vue du passager assis dans la poussette.

A. CHARIOT CARRIER

1.Placez-vous à l'arrière de la poussette. Tirez le cadre supérieur vers le haut jusqu'à extension complète.

2.Tirez les barres inférieures, gauche et droite, vers l'arrière jusqu'au point d'enclenchement complet au-dessus de la partie centrale. Figurei 1..

AVERTISSEMENT:I: POUR ÉVITERI DE SE PINCERI LES DOIGTS,I, TIRERI LES BARRES INFÉRIEURESII DE L'ARRIÈRE'I SUPPORTS D'ARTICULATION'II..

3.Insérez les goujons de fixation (qui pendent au bout de lanières attachées au cadre) dans les perforations des supports d'articulation. Figurei 2..

REMARQUE:: Ne tentez pas de replier lla poussette lorsquel lesl goujonsj sont en place ((ou partieillement en place)l )..
