What Kind of Vehicle Belt System Do You Have?

The illustrations on the next page show vehicle belt systems that can never be used with this car seat in the Booster Car Seat Mode. If you do not have a seat- ing location with a usable lap and shoulder vehicle belt system, DO NOT use this car seat. Your vehicle manufacturer may be able to install a vehicle belt system that will be able to restrain your child properly in this car seat. NEVER alter your vehicle belt system yourself.

WARNING

USE ONLY the vehicle’s lap and shoulder belt system when restraining the child in this car seat in Booster Car Seat Mode. Using a lap only belt will still allow your child’s head to move forward in a sudden stop or crash, possibly causing your child’s head to strike the vehicle’s interior or your child’s knees hard enough to cause injury or death.
