Using the Booster Seat

Installation

1 Place booster seat in a vehicle seating position equipped with a lap-shoulder belt. Refer to page 7 to determine the best seating position for the child.

2 Position the booster seat with the back against the vehicle seat. Adjust recline, if

necessary, for proper fit. (Fig. A) See page 11 for recline adjustments.

If needed, adjust or remove the vehicle’s head rest to allow the backrest to fall flat against the vehicle’s seat back.

Position lap portion of the vehicle belt

 

under armrest and over both color-coded

belt guides and child’s upper thighs then buckle. (Fig. B) Ensure the buckle is secure by gently pulling on it.

4 Position the shoulder portion of the vehicle belt through the shoulder belt guide, opposite the buckle. (Fig. C)

Shoulder belt must be positioned so it rests on the child’s shoulder. To adjust headrest, refer to page 12.

5 Remove slack from lap, then shoulder portion of the vehicle belt to provide a comfortable but snug fit for the child. (Fig. D) See page 14 for further instruction on securing the child.
